Hi everyone, curious if anyone has ever had this issue...

I parked the LR4 just like I do every time I park it. I've had this vehicle for 3 years and rarely anything wrong with it.

There is complete power failure on the truck EXCEPT for the drivers side window and drivers side back window, and the side mirror control pad/buttons. It's super bizarre. Everything else has ZERO POWER. The display doesn't light up, the key fob doesn't work, the back hatch won't activate, the car is basically powerless. It's basically like the battery is dead, but just the side windows go up and down. It makes no sense. Car won't turn over, there's no digital read out.

What I did last night:

- Tried jumping it, since this was my first assumption - that the battery died. But as everyone knows who own this truck, it's VERY DIFFICULT to **** the battery in a LR4. You can leave doors open, leaves lights on but the car is smart enough to turn everything off. In the 3 years I've had this car I've never experienced a dead battery. The batter is a few years old? I believe when I purchased the truck I got a new battery.
- Also tested battery with voltage tester. Checked out fine. Just to make sure I trickle charged it for a couple hours, but made no difference.
- Changed battery on Key fob
- Checked all fuses with tester, everything checked out. No blown fuses.
- Lifted cupholder console to release car into neutral and back into park since I thought maybe it was stuck in between gears and not responding. Also checked manual parking brake release. Neither worked.

A lot of stuff I've been reading is it STILL could be the battery. And to swap it out and see if that works. Even though I get full power readings, tried jumping it, etc. Next, I read that it could be Alternator. SO I guess that will be second. Third, some people said it could be something with the security system but I feel I've done everything possible to reset it. Also, thought maybe it could be a failed Start/Stop ignition button ...but wouldn't the key fob at least be able to communicate with the car? That's the other bizarre thing, key fob doesn't work.

That's where I'm at right now. Curious if anyone has ever experienced a similar issue... car seems like it has a dead battery, but even with a jump (and still connected to a car) I get zero response even just pressing the Start button and bringing up the display. Nothing digital works in the car. Again, except the two drivers side windows and the side mirrors. Makes no sense.

Thanks in advance.

Looks like you've done what I would have done. The next thing I would do is to see if a code reader will bring up any codes, if it does it'll narrow down the issue faster. Then check the main engine fuse block next to the battery to see if there are any blown fuse(s), check the fuse block behind the glove box for any fuse(s) blown as well. I would also try to do a hard reset, where you leave the drivers window down, open your hood, close all doors for 5 mins, disconnect the negative ground wire and positive wire from the battery, and bridge the disconnected wires for 3 seconds.

Oh and check to see if you have water running down your pillars to your floor boards. To check, lift your floor carpet up and see if there's water.

How about disconnecting the battery for an hour?

BTW, I have a 2015 and I'm on my 3rd battery. The vehicle itself will **** it eventually, regardless if you leave a door open or not. All those systems need power to function.

While I haven't experienced anything close to what yours did, the fact that my clock reset to default January 2013 was enough for me to replace my battery this last go around, even though the car started fine. Try there first, then get that code reader...
