As some may have seen in my build thread I have some water ingress issues. Aside from the drain lines on for the sunroof what else should I be looking at for possible issues? Especially while the headliner is out and access is good.

I have contemplated just sealing the sunroof permanently but figured I would give repair a try lol

The usual suspects are the pollen filter box (under the windshield cowl) and the a-pillar.

Planning a new cowl and a proper reseal of the a pillar. Wasn't sure if there is other seals to check on the sunroof it'self

The exit end of the drivers side drain tube. I just had to replace mine after a serious leak. The rubber plug had melted itself away from the exit hole. This should be on everyone's to-do list on LR over about 7 years. My LR3 is a 2006 and the plug seemed to have been melting for years. The hose comes with the plug already fixed but the plug is removable by just pulling down the panel beneath the steering wheel as you would to change the brake light switch. Once it goes of course it's a much deeper strip down to dry out the front and rear carpets and foam. Here's the part: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01H7HMKE2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Also, is the cowl itself fitting flat to the windscreen?

Oh, and then there's the exit end plug on the passenger side that may need a little circumcision operation

WEll I just went through wet soaking ponds in both floor boards, and turns out after preparing to rip all of the "fixings" off that my AC drains were clogged. 30 minutes with some **** eater line and I think I got it.

Pretty easy to see them, take off the panels on either side of the drive shaft tunnel and they are right there, with some convenient tabs for pulling them off. Once I did water came gushing out.
No one had suggested AC drains so might check those.

Another one for the list of possibilities

I had a leak on the passenger, RH side. Took the outside air intake cover off and could see the drain tube was not sticking out all the way due to corrosion. I took some needle nose pliers and gently pulled the drain tube out further. No more leaking inside. Didn’t have to pull all of the interior apart and install new drain tubing. Try this first.

It seems I had a small leak still remaining on the Passenger side, that was masked by massive amounts of water from AC drains. When I ran my wires up the A-pillar and thru the gutters I had to trim back the black cover for the roof gutters. That was fine until my roof rack end capo on that side broke, then the water ran down the A-pillar into the area of the fuse box. I placed silicon on the end cap and drain cover and have now stopped it.
Still looking for the end cap to replace it, and probably will replace the passenger side molding A-pillar, and roof gutter and run my wires inside and up thru the roof rack vice on the outside. This will be done when I get time to remove the headliner and have that redone.
Also thinking about using some Kilmat or other to sound deaden the roof and floor boards.

Hey so just to confirm driver side install of drain tube exit ****** is:

1. remove access panel under steering column (the large one)
2. remove ****** from car frame
3. remove hose from ******
4. replace with new ******

Something like that?

I rather not replace the old drain tube since in my case it is in fine condition still.
