Some of you may be familiar with these common failure points on the AJ V8 engine used in the LR4.

Since the 3.0 V6 is largely based on the same block, I'm curious if anyone has experienced these failures on the D5?

I spend a lot of time reading posts on here and I don’t remember seeing any posts about issues with the v6.

Timing chain issue was corrected starting with the 2013 LR4's. (Different timing chain guides)

Crossover pipe was also recently redesigned. No longer a 2-piece construction that splits down the middle. I would think that the D5 would have the newer version. Then again, it takes about 6 years or 100K miles for you to find out the hard way.
