Has anyone reflashed their 3.0SC V6 aka Tune?

Were you able to install the pulley and tune yourself?
I was able to but chose not to as I do most things. I have a good Indy who does not charge much. It would not be hard though. Installing the snout replacement is slightly harder but not bad.

Yeah I would do the two pulleys and tune again for sure. The snout pulley is not necessary but I replaced the snout anyway with a refurb one so it was no deal to get Ed (eBay) to send one with the smaller pulley there. I would say the only thing I would modify would be to knock down the TPS sensitivity a little bit. It’s slightly jumpier than I would like. But I never felt strong enough about it to bother getting them to modify the file.

Thanks for the feedback

Hey guys, new to the forum (and LR ownership) but wanted to add my 2 cents as I just installed the Velocity AP pulley this past weekend on my '16 LR4 HSE. First off, I would not do the tune alone; I did stage 1 (tune only) about 3-4 months ago and could not tell a difference in day to day driving at all. It honestly made me feel like I had wasted $1k. It looks like a big increase in hp on paper, but in reality that power isn't available until high in the rev range. Secondly, the lower pulley and tune (Stage 2) are really noticeable. I installed the pulley myself, and although it was tedious, it wasn't difficult. I don't quite feel the throttle sensitivity that Fuji4 mentioned, but I do feel like it has evened out the pedal feel at lower speeds. I also feel like it has improved the rolling take-off like from a stop sign; to me it doesn't feel as jerky or delayed. Thirdly, I do feel like $2k is a bit steep for the pulley and tune; I would have felt more comfortable at $1500-$1700. Yes it does feel like it should have come this way from LR, but it doesn't feel "Oh My God!" better. Maybe it does on the Jags that daily drive at a wider rev range, but the LR4 isn't a sports car and I certainly don't drive it as such.

yeah i think that pricing is par for the course. RR, LR, Jag, these are low volume vehicles with rich owners. thus, not a lot of tuners, not a lot of competition. especially for this being an SUV. imagine trying to find a good tune for a ferrari! that would be pricey. it helps that the engine is cross platform with the jag, kind of like the 5.0 is in the F150 and the mustang... WE just don't have the volume to get prices down.

@Fuji4 I totally agree and understand that. I previously owned a Montero Sport that had similar issues when compared with the far more popular 4Runner; little/no aftermarket support. That being said, I'm still satisfied with the improvement, the $/HP ratio and with @VelocityAP as a whole.
