Why is the "most capable 4x4" so fragile ?

I am wondering, should i purchase the atlantic british parts? and do i need entire thing or just bushings? and what bushing should i purchase? OEM/poly/etc

The Atlantic British parts are just fine. There are mixed views on this but I would say that the consensus is that it is best all-around to replace the entire LCA assembly when you get this service. The labor is almost the same for this versus pulling them out to press in new bushings. Plus you get a few additional new components with the fresh LCAs. That said, lots of owners are pleased with the cost and performance when replacing the bushings only although there have been some comments about squeaking and a stiffer ride with poly bushings.

Personally I have become a fan of replacing the entire assembly when the bushings go, even if the arms themselves are in good shape.

depending on the wear of your control arms, they may be rusted into place, require cutting them to remove. in this case, you will need to replace the arm/bushing assemblies.

If your lucky, they wont be rusted into place, you can replace bushings only. replace the bushing with OEM/Equal or Poly if you want more durability but may experience squeaking.

If you will have your LR4 long term, you may want to purchase parts from FCPeuro. they have a lifetime warranty on all parts. when you need to replace the bushing again, parts are free (except shipping)
