Thank you! The dog guard sits forward of the rear cup holder along the edge so it would be no issues at all. SO was looking at the pictures as well and liked the idea. I might as well use the coupon that Bearmach gave me when i got the refund on the ladder for this. Also, thank you for the pictures. Now I know the kiddos will fit back there with the shelf installed. (well the SO too actually since she is only 4'8"

Just curious, sounds like you're talking about the ladder they sell with the little curve in it that goes on the passenger side, vs the OEM ladder and Frontrunner style that goes on the driver side. Other than the rust, were you happy with it on that side?

Actually we were. The wife was able to step up on that one with no issues and the larger size tube that was used was nice. The powder coating is the problem so i guess you get what you pay for. I am going with the Prospeed one this time. The stir-up setup is a bit ugly but will serve a purpose when you have a vertically challenged spouse help you load kayaks. I just installed the prospeed front sump guard and the quality seems to be very high on their products.
