Big LR4 issue, cut losses and sell vs fix?

Agreed. Good to be aware of possible issues and fixes, but don't go tearing stuff apart needlessly. You are likely to cause more issues than you prevent.

And use top tier gasoline. I always try to use Shell or Mobil premium gas. My neighbor uses the cheapest regular gas she can find and has gone through 2 fuel pumps on her LR4.

I never understand people that can afford a higher-end vehicle then are too cheap to buy the premium gas it requires.

Agreed. I will say this and move along so as not to start yet another oil debate: I use Top Tier premium 93 octane and Castrol OE. Feed it the good stuff, stay up with maintenance, and enjoy life.

Yup Shell V-Power 93 here. On trips I will use Shell or Mobil premium. If I must I will use Sunoco. Yes, I am a fuel snob on all my cars.

No Chevron near me (or at all in New England, as far as I've seen). Not a member of Costco either, although I've heard it's good fuel.
