What were the only factory options available for 2016.5 Land Rover LR4 Landmark Edition? Like many of you here, I accidentally forgot to order one brand-new too back in mid-2016, and it continues to haunt me today.

Fast forward today, I believe the only major option was the heavy-duty 2-speed terrain off-road package.

What else is missing? What about adaptive cruise control? Could the adaptive cruise option be paired with HD option together, or the HD option did not allow for adaptive cruise option. Trying to refresh my head here on what was available, after I did my last build and price one online for an estimated MSRP of $67,500 something (or $65,000 invoice, now a good deal today for 2021 year).

Some LR4s have a cool center tray glovebox for cold drinks and food. Was this an option also for Landmark?

I believe the landmark edition had many of the options (like the glovebox cooler) as standard. HD and adaptive cruise were both available, but not standard on the landmark (I have a landmark edition with both HD and adaptive cruise). It was hard to find when I bought mine (about a year ago), but I think there are many more cars on the market now that they’re all off warranty, so you should be able to find it.

If you are searching on the internet, the HD option is easy to look for: the center console has the control buttons for air suspension and high/low gearing. With HD, the far right control buttons will be populated with white lettering. Without HD, those buttons will just be blank (no high/low gearing).

Adaptive cruise is tougher to spot. You need to look at the left side of the steering wheel. If it has adaptive cruise, you’ll see the controls for changing the following distance. But beware that these controls cannot easily be seen from a straight-on view of the steering wheel as they are just slightly hidden.

The attached pics illustrate.

"Landmark" was essentially what LR called the "Lux" in 2016, which includes the cooler box, upgraded leather, memory seats, upgraded stereo, etc. (Although it looks like the "Silver" edition also included the upgraded stereo by then.)

Sadly, ACC appears to be an extremely rare option on any of these.

In the LR3, HD package meant rear locker and full size spair tire. That changed with the LR4?

On the LR4, HD package gives you the rear locker and full size spare, and more importantly gives you low range gearing (I think this was standard on all LR3s, but only came with the HD package on the LR4s, at least post-2013 if I’m not mistaken).

But just seeing the spare doesn’t guarantee the HD package - the full size spare could have been added as a separate option or even later on to a non-HD truck. Seeing those buttons on the left side of the console is a sure fire way to know that you have that low range gearing, which was only available with the HD package.

That's good to know. Living in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains, I've dreamed of picking up a LR4 to off road in ever since I had to sell my LR3.

I have a 2016.5 Landmark with the Heavy Duty Package and Adaptive Cruise Control. It has 36,000mi and is Yulong White with the baseball-glove brown Windsor leather.

Favorite vehicle I have ever owned but I will be trading or selling her once my pre-order Defender 110X arrives.
