Hi All, new LR4 owner here, looking to set up my rig for a bit of offroading. Reading through the posts here have helped me come up with my wheel/tire combo; now I'm ready to look at protection options.

Reading through numerous threads, I keep seeing mentions of compressor guards, namely by APT and Prospeed. Neither of these companies ship to the US (at least not that I can tell from their website. Does anyone know of any compressor guard options available in the US?

And yes, I know that the TR and Proud Rhino rock sliders have compressor guards built in, but for the offroading that I will be doing here in the northeast, I'm not sure I want to spend that much money or keep that much weight on my truck 24/7, so I'm currently leaning towards grabbing the Terrafirmas over at lucky8, if I even buy rock sliders.

Have you called Lucky8 to see if they can just order it for you? I think they get regular shipments from prospeed so I don’t think it would be too hard to have one thrown in...

I highly recommend APT. I purchased a front lower guard. The fit is perfect and it looks great. Shipping took about 2.5 weeks and Ben is awesome.

Not sure where you got the information about them not shipping to the US, they do.

Be careful if you go this route... I ordered a prospeed part from them in May and hadn't received in mid August despite several conversations over the phone about the part "arriving shortly". So I canceled my order and went with Asfir 4x4. Part came from Israel in like 4 days and I'm perfectly happy with it. Just ordered their transmission guard as well.

I have everything but the diff guard. I'm getting that next. They work pretty well even after banging and shearing off one of the bolts up front. I was able to bang it back together and get new SS button head bolts, SS washers, and aluminum 1/2" spacer that work WAY better than the included hardware.

I also find it better than my now banged up Front Runner skid plate and at a far better price.

Good to know. Haven't been able to test anything yet, but pleased with their customer service! I'm sure the hardware upgrade is worth it. I can add that to the long list of things I want to do....

I have a Prospeed LR4 compressor guard I'm selling. Never installed.

Let me know if you're interested.

@djkaosone did you have to pay import duties on the parts? I once bought an item on eBay that came from Israel. 30 days later, I received a bill for the duty fees

I actually called Lucky8 and had a long conversation with them. They apparently do stock the Prospeed guard, they just didn't have it on their website (they do now). However, they seem to be having some website/stock issues; I ended up ordering the TR rock sliders which were listed with free shipping on their website, and then a few days later I called in to find out why I never received a follow up email and they told me the order was on hold because I had to pay shipping, so I told them to cancel it. Took me like 2 weeks and 3 phone calls to get them to actually process the refund so I could get my money back, so I'm a bit scared of ordering from them again, though they did seem nice enough to deal with.

The only website I could find mention of their compressor guard is this one:
https://aptoffroad.com.au/browse-ca...tection-discovery-3-and-4/category_pathway-36
which I believe is their official website. It doesn't give me the option to place an order, rather it just shows resellers in Australia. Nevertheless, I may give them a call and see if I can order one over the phone and how much it will cost etc.

I had read that Asfir pulled out of the US market, and also that some users had fitment issues when mounting. Did you have any such issues?

I'd be interested in this as well, would hate to get an unexpected tax bill in the mail later on.

For everyone that went the Asfir route, on their website they don't have a compressor guard listed, but they do have an Air Tank Skid Plate. I'm assuming that covers the compressor?
