This is the most serious problem I have read on these boards in awhile. Hopefully someone comes up with a fix!

I have a 2012 LR4 and the steering wheel heater works sometimes but not others. I turned it on and off a few times back in August and the temp in the car was 90+ and it worked fine. Now that it's snowing (literally, right now in Hartford) it doesn't work. But it might work next week . . .

SAME! it seems to work better when it's warmer out. did you even get this figured out?

I wonder if you could be having a issue with the clock spring. I know other issues have arisen from these going bad. The connections for the heated wheel go through this and plug down in on the side of the spring.
