Hey guys. Just joined the LR community with a 2013 LR4. The previous owner had young children and the interior needs a bit of a spruce up. Can't find much through google on these issues so looking for guidance on here. I've attached a picture of each below as well. As it stands the issues I need to address at hand are:
  1. AC vents for the second row on the center console are in rough shape with one missing the directional fins completely. I've already purchased two replacements but I hope these just pop on and off?
  2. The trim on the rear TV screens is peeling and is just unsightly. Any recommendations on how to tackle this? Plastic touchup kits etc or what?
  3. The AC vent mounted in the pillar directly behind the second row was pushed into the pillar. I managed to fish it out and am not sure if it just pops right back in or if something is now broken etc. I can't even find a replacement on this either.
Not sure what those kids did to these air vents, but its ridiculous.

If you were able to purchase new center console vents, its means they can be replaced. the repair manual I have does not have specifics for vent replacement, but it shows the panel on the rear of the center console requires cooler box and lid removal as a prerequisite.

i dont think there is a solution for the tv bezels. either DIY refinish, or replace.

the C-pillar trim is aprt # LR013144. i do not see the vent sold separate. this is for the left (drivers side). whether you need a new one, or can reinstall the old one, is up to you. youll need to see if it appears broken and can be refitted.

My rear AC vents in my LR3 look exactly like yours! The previous owner had replacements in the glove box, but I also saw that the center console needed to be removed to do it (in theory) and so I just let it go. I do not have kids, just dogs in back and so the rear gets beat up anyway for me.

I'm not sure it does though. The replacement pieces appear to just snap on. Yeah to replace the whole duct work I'm sure it doesn't but I don't see how the who console has to come out to just replace that part.

So it does just pop on and off?

Basically yes.

So you know how the vents have that clicky feedback when you rotate them? There are two metal clips that can easily fall out and shoot into space or your eyes when you take them apart, but the new vents come assembled with the clips installed.

If you take a trim tool and pry the old vent off (looks like yours is pretty broken) all you have to do is press it in and give it a little tap till it snaps in.

Sometimes I use this page to look for parts I need. It's a page un Russia, but they have all the diagrams to check wich part you are looking for. It´s very helpful.

P.D. about the screen trim, if is cosmetic, just let it as it seen. It will take too much time and money for something who don't really care (screen is working).

Best regards
