This one looks a bit more like a Compo. Still like Compos better- IMO, they are a bit more OEM like, and proven.

Something I just realized is that the weight rating on the aluminum Tuffant wheels is pretty low, at around 2,300 punds. Around 500 pounds per wheel lower than either the Compos or the Evo Corses.

Wonder why?

Compomotive load rating is 980kg (2160lbs) per rim, TuffAnt Alloys is 1050kg (2315lbs) per rim... from that, TuffAnt has a higher load rating than compos.

Hmmm. I guess you are right. I could have sworn I saw something that said the Compos were in the 2,800 lb range, but I'm not finding anything now, even on Compo's website. I see 980kg referenced in other threads, though.

The Evo Corse's are 1,300 kg or 2,866 lbs. Maybe what I read confused the two wheels (or maybe I confused them myself).

Either way, good to know as I think I like the looks of the tuffant aluminum wheels the best of all, with the Evo Corse wheels being a close second.

Where are you all finding these specs? I’ve searched for load ratings and weight of the wheels for Compos, TuffAnts, Evo Course, and others and have had little luck. It’s as if the manufacturers prefer uninformed consumers.

Tuffant has them on their website.

Evo Corse's can be found on the Mainline Overland website.

The Compos aren't easy to come by.

I just messaged alpha asking if they can confirm that the land rover tpms sensors fit with their rims also asking what the load rating of the rims are.

Let’s see if we get a reply.

Stuart.

Hot off the press,

The load rating per wheel in that fitment is 2650lbs (1202kg approx) and the original TPMS sensors do fit our applications and the weight us 32lbs (14.5kg)

this is for the alphas.
