They definitely need something in the sidewall department, they cut like paper! Don’t believe the hype that a higher rated tire gets you a tougher sidewall. I ran 275/65/18 Duratracs with an E load rating, I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone due to poor sidewalls.
Yeah there does not seem to be a clear grading system for sidewall strength - LT-ratings seem to have little to no bearing.

Just DOT compliance, which pretty much is a non-issue on a passenger vehicle.

I've used the Atturo 19" tires for a couple of years. I bought them at about $79 from Prime Tire on the Internet with free shipping. As an emergency vehicle, I need reliable tires, and these are it. Out of 9 tires purchased, I had one that had tread separation and they replaced it at no cost (free shipping). I can't recommend these tires enough.

I've recently been running the Toyo Open Country ATIII for the last few months. I wanted a bit more sidewall than stock, so I went up to a 255/60. I've been happy with them so far.

thats brilliant on discount tire price matching! I bought from that same seller on eBay and they sold me tires from 2014!!!! You dodged a bullet I’ve had three of them fail in a few thousand miles. Atturo has replaced all of them as a result of failure. The new ones have held up great...I’m just waiting for the last one to throw a belt or separate due to its age.

A good reason to only but tires at a tire shop where you can check the DOT date code on the sidewall before having them mounted, though I'm sure that if you ordered from discounttiredirect.com and received old tires you could take them to a Discount Tire store and exchange them.

wow. I've been driving for 40 years. Drove everything from tractor trailers to tiny cars and everything in between. Like many of you, I've driven so many miles, I couldn't even estimate, and I've never had a tire separate. And here you guys are talking about these tires like it's a normal thing.

Yikes, that's scary. Seems like all your experiences and the reviews kinda support that these are junk overall.

Going to Discount Tire tomorrow to have them order up the Toyo’s in 255/60/19.

Should have them installed by Monday or Tuesday so I’ll report back eventually. Can’t wait to try them out off road.

100%. Lesson learned. Priority tire sold them and will never buy a tire from them again. They honored the 90 day warranty they had on them by sending another old and defective tire. Discount tire was amazing by helping me return the defective tires to atturo. Atturo was absolutely amazing to work with and stood behind the tire from date of installation rather than date of manufacture. Super impressed with atturo customer service. Have not had any issues with new atturos with manufacturing date in this decade!

Are you running stock 19s? Any issues caused by going a size up?
