My 2013 LR4 is starting to make this noise at startup. Thoughts?

I'd think timing chains would be a much more rapid, frequent, rattly noise. Thinking this is fan clutch?

Fan clutch sounds a lot less expensive than timing chain guides.

I've had that for 232,000 miles. I'm not concerned as it goes away when warmed up. I know that's not very scientific or mechanical but...

100% fan clutch

Just had this fixed, replaced the fan clutch and it went away.

i believe that’s the fan clutch. I’ve got the same noise. If it’s the timing chain we are both in trouble. My clutch noise stops after about a minute.

Yep. So does mine. Based on this thread it seems very likely to be the the fan clutch.
