Not sure what kind of cost is involved here, but I believe fuel tanks should be covered under the emission control system warranty required in some states (California and I think about a dozen others).

Yep, you’re right. Just pulled it up - 80K. Sorry, hoping it would help.

Reading through the covered parts, it looks like it covers a lot of things I’ve seen people repairing, like high pressure fuel pumps. Though, again, not sure what kind of milage those cars had on them.

I meant 70K, not 80K. CA warranty expires at 70K. The very limited Fed warranty goes to 80K on a few parts.

On this car particularly I feel like they designed thermal breakdown to pair precisely with the various warranties. Maybe that’s attributing too much capability to the engineers.

Ok folks. Got the job done at my local Indy. 23DBB6B0-94D5-429D-B59E-29E0B871CE6C.jpeg same problem as others here. The parts are very cheap online. Like $60 for non oem. But I had a rental and couldn’t get them fast enough so I had to go the stealer. $250 out the door with tax. Ouch. Easy repair though. $200 in labor. Parts guy said these fail all the time across the platform. Great. Back to normal now.
My wife is starting to Moan about the reliability here.

Glad I found this thread. I'm about to go down this road. 2011 LR4. Very gassy right now. My regular indy replaced the fuel pump gasket, but that did not fix it. Taking her to dealer in January. Ugh.

Is the Flange the same as the part described above as Part Number LR043420?

Pretty sure that’s it. Google it and find the cheapest one. Fcp has one for way less than dealer

I ordered it from Atlantic British for $99. Maybe not the lowest price, but I do trust them. Will take my LR4 to my Indy when part arrives. Very useful thread, here.
