Our 2010 LR4 HSE has reached the end of our journey together. On Sunday, at 245k miles, she finally skipped time due to loose chains (they had started making noise about 20k ago so I knew what was coming).

So my question is, what to do with her? Copart will give me $2,200 and tow it away, which seems like a good deal. I don't have the space to keep her around to part her out. Perhaps there is someone out there on Craigslist interested in rebuilding her? If you're in Northern CA and are interested, let me know.

As for another Rover? Hell ya - we upgraded to a RR HSE SCV8 and can't wait to put 200k+ miles on the new one!

That's funny because there are a few people here who have intentionally removed that headrest. I am a stock nerd so I've kept mine in place even though it is indisputably true that the rear view while driving is better without it.
Are you talking about me?

Checking back in - have been spending all my attention on the full fat Rangie. As for the LR4, I've decided not to part it out - too much time commitment. I'm going to try to find a good home for it in one piece here in the Auburn area, it would make an epic Rubicon ride for someone.
