Have been having this maddening problem that hoping someone can shed some light on. On the highway, 65mph or above, whenever I go under a bridge overpass, I hear a very high pitched squeal. Can't hear anything otherwise, checked all pulleys and poked around the engine - nothing is loose or otherwise making noise. What the hell is this? It sounds like air and nothing mechanical. Thinking maybe loose A pillar or some other trim piece that is making noise but only under a bridge? Anyone had this happen? Thanks

Could be anything that is having the sound it generates reflected back (its there all the time, you just aren't hearing it) Is it high pitched? If so with age you won't be able to hear it anymore. Could be differential whine, t case, wheel bearings or like you suggested some sort of wind whistle over a component.

im sure you only hear it when going under a bridge because you hear the sound bouncing off the walls/roof.

Do you have a roof rack? straps on it? could be air vibrating them causing a resonance.
or
pillar trim? add tape where the trim meets the windshield. see if the noise goes away.

Thanks guys. It's very high pitched, a loud whistle. When driving next to a tall concrete divider I dont hear it, it's just when driving under a bridge. I'll keep trying to find it, it's maddening.

Definitely the acoustics of the overpass that are making it more noticeable. I instantly noticed a whistling from the OEM crossbars when I installed them and I don’t even need a bridge to point it out. And yes I installed them in the correct orientation. IIRC you have a clean roof, right? Try checking the housing over the sat radio/nav antenna above your lift gate. Maybe it’s loose or has a bad gasket?

My guess would be the A-pillar trim. After having a new windshield installed mine would get loud over 60 mph. Despite using new trim clips, it would still screech. Only solution was to buy a new A-pillar trim piece that fit nice & snug. No more noise at any high speed.

Check the seal along the top of the windshield. Mine actually came loose on the drive home from purchasing it :D

Not sure if it would cause a high pitched noise or not; but another thing to check I guess.

Check your wheels. Possibly a wheel bearing or brake components rubbing.
