Trying to identify the part number and purpose of the foam blocks that go at each corner of the hood, where it meets the A pillars. Mine from 2011 LR4 and breaking down.

What I can read of the part number appears to be D500020

Do I care? What are these for? Maybe help keep the A pillar from coming loose? (in a strong cross wind the A pillar coming loose is terribly annoying repeat problem).

Thanks in advance...

Thanks! Did you replace yours? How do they attach, double sided tape?

I've got mine ordered but haven't looked at the current once since. Currently in the midst of quite the winter weather here in Nashville

In case anyone needs this later, the left side is #CJD500030

For now mine is re-attached with spray adhesive, and seems OK. I’ll order the replacement if this fails.

Thanks for the left side code.

Here in Bozeman we’re enjoying winter, -20F over the weekend, heat wave today got almost up to freezing!

I have a right pillar piece of foam if anyone wants it. Sounds lame but you never know.

Also I put together a vid on how to change the pillar trims and cowl if anyone is interested. Feel free to provide seating feedback as necessary.
