Has anyone come across this issue where you're listening to the radio or Bluetooth music and the audio cuts out? When it happens, the radio station and song title disappear off the screen and any connected phone also disappears for anywhere from 3-10 seconds and then comes back and all is well until the next instance.

I have a 2014 LR4 LUX that I bought a couple of years ago and it even had this issue on the drive home back then. Yes I should have turned around and gone back to the dealership (4 hours from home) but I was already 2 hrs away and driving in a bad weather. At that point I just wanted to get home. Anyone know if I can swap the head unit (screen) out with a 2015+ LR$ that has airplay if mine is deemed to be bad?

I've never had that same situation. I have had the display freeze and stop playing music for a few days, but it basically just resolved itself and I have no idea what caused or fixed it. Never had an intermittent experience like yours, sorry.

As with any odd behavior like this, my first suspect is the main battery...

closest scenario ive had is all sources produce no sound at normal volume, and static if turned up high. display works as it should.

solution: turn car off, let sit for 30 seconds, restart.

this has happened 3x in my 1 year of ownership. whatever the actual fix is, doesn't warrant my time of wallet being emptied.
