I’m about to have some Toyo Open Country AT IIIs installed tomorrow at Discount Tire and need to know if there’s any special procedures for them getting it in the air. I’ll obviously point out the compressor location, so they don’t crush it, but does anything need to be done to deal with the air suspension prior to lifting? Thanks in advance!

My Discount Tire location locks the suspension in crawl mode and uses floor jacks on each corner; not sure why. They use jacks on my Silverado as well.

locks the suspension
Same here. Locks the suspension in access mode. Keeps the suspension from reaching for the ground and keeps everything squared-up. Makes it much easier to mount the wheel flush to the hub. My indy LR guy does the same, even when on the lift. Haven't had to work on the suspension yet though (fingers crossed)- that might be a different story.

The manual says the opposite, suspension should be in off-road height when changing a tire. I assumed having the suspension fully
extended was better than a compressed airbag having to hold all that free hanging weight. I too found an Americas Tire/Discount Tire trying to go the access height route.

the lr4 automatically goes into off road mode as the truck is lifted, so not sure what the difference would be.

There are a lot of 'scare' stories about airbags dropping etc. if the rover is lifted but its all misinformation. Many of us have wheels lose contact with the ground when off-roading and no ill comes of it (beyond scratches and dings lol). I've never seen any shop do anything special with my rovers with air suspension. One has 150,000 miles and is still on all the original air suspension parts.
