Planning to get the hood and tailgate nameplates swapped from matte silver to gloss black. Was thinking of DYI but not too keen on it coming out crooked or messing up my paint job with no recourse. Dealership detail shop is quoting me $500, going to see what locals might charge, but curious if anyone's paid to have it done.

Thanks

Did it myself on both LR4s. Hardest part is scrubbing off the old "glue".

I made a grid out of painters tape to align the letters and rear name plates. Then, you can pull off the letters and scrub the glue out. Align new letter with whatever reference point you made and repeat.

Most letters also come with an aligning template.

Yeah I've watched a couple vids, I could prolly do it but I love my wife and don't want to hear it if anything goes awry :vollkomme

Under the hood, no prob. Cosmetically, that's a diff story if it doesn't unscrew or pop right off and drop right back in place haha

I suggest you take a look at Powerful UK. They sell the letters and they come with templates, you can also buy a adhesive removal wheel form them. They also have a great YouTube channel that offers tutorials. Currently they are focused on the new Defender and a RRS but they do have many D3 and D4 videos
