Hey all. Doing some due diligence here trying to have some redundancy on my compressor given a tough experience a fellow LR4 owner shared with me. In his case, doing some off-roading out in the desert, his compressor failed and was forced to drive out 6 hours to the nearest dealer for repairs.
So his advice was to simply carry a spare compressor. That has caused me to open up my cover to see if I can determine what model I have but I think I need some assistance from you all.
I have a ‘12 with a vin that falls into the range of “early AMK” according to the TSB. Opened the cover and all appears original and pretty clean. Can you all check these and tell me if I’m AMK and am safe to replace with a similar AMK?
