I took a U-Haul hitch off my 2013 LR4 - it used existing holes but to be honest, I have NO idea how they got the nuts into the frame... I was able to unbolt everything but had to use a magnet on a wire to remove them. You may be able to go to the U-Haul site - they might have some installation instructions or at least go to a U-Haul location and ask them about installation.

I pulled one off my 11 when i got it. Preferred the Rhino over the curt. This install sheet should help.
Thanks for the pdf and reply...Last night I was on a marathon roll researching on LRW, re: LR4 hitches/trailer wiring/brake controllers... My concern with the Rhino hitch was a post by MikeGraef on this forum titled - (LR4 towing/hitch weight for travel trailers) posted on 12-2-2020, where his Rhino hitch had a catastrophic failure with weld seams breaking...1). Why do you prefer the rhino over the Curt?
2.) Do you think Mike's Rhino incident was a fluke?

Rhino did a recall on the Ox hitch early this year. I wouldn’t be worried about using a NEW hitch bought direct, but would be careful of resale units that didn’t have the revised design. I don’t have any photos of before/after to share.

The link below is to a number of trailer hitch and trailer wiring files for my LR3. Some of them may be of value re the LR4, in particular the ones related to the electric brake wiring.

As to the Curt Hitch, per the attached install instruction pdf, it is bolt on for both the LR3 and LR4 - same part number for both.

This is the link for the 2" class III Curt hitch specific to the LR3/4, part number 13456.

I have a Rhino. It has held up great. My only beef with it is that it’s super shallow. Lots of hitches don’t fit.

Just curious, why are you going with an after market bolt on hitch?
After further consideration, I bought a LR OEM insert hitch and trailer wiring kit from Atlantic British for $733.... because Curt was 600lbTW and 6000 trailer load capacity while OEM hitch was 550TW and 7,716 lbs. trailer load capacity...If I don't like the OEM, I will install a Curt...The OEM is less weight, removable and more load cap...
