The link below is to a number of trailer hitch and trailer wiring files for my LR3. Some of them may be of value re the LR4, in particular the ones related to the electric brake wiring.

As to the Curt Hitch, per the attached install instruction pdf, it is bolt on for both the LR3 and LR4 - same part number for both.

This is the link for the 2" class III Curt hitch specific to the LR3/4, part number 13456.

I have a U-Haul hitch that was on my 2013 LR4, including the mounting hardware that someone can have for free + shipping cost - as is. Looks to be in good shape. I do not have any installation instructions. I did remove it myself. Located in VT.
Thanks, Gregg

I'm surprised the Curt wasn't much better than the OEM hitch. So far I'm pretty happy about the OEM hitch. I was skeptical at first. I have a 5,000lb single axle boat trailer that I tow all over and it works great!

Rhino did a recall on the Ox hitch early this year. I wouldn’t be worried about using a NEW hitch bought direct, but would be careful of resale units that didn’t have the revised design. I don’t have any photos of before/after to share.
Do you have any links to the recall? I talked to Todd about mine early last year but they appear to be still out of stock.

I don’t, I read about it on Expedition Portal or another LR forum. If you call Rhino they should be able to set you straight. I have an OEM hitch, so just trying to share information.

Sorry I missed your reply, I didn’t get an alert. Hopeful this is still helpful to you.
