As far as finding a parking space I don’t understand. Where you live are parking spots not large enough to fit full size crew cab trucks? My lr4 is well shorter than one of those

Rover runner, is that a drop down hitch carrier you made. I thought about trying that. Nice work

Badass is in the eye of the beholder. Those add-ons front and rear have substantially reduced your approach and departure angles. Urban chic maybe but far from "safari badass". But to each his own.

edit: That was harsh. sorry.

Oh ****. I just realized this is the same guy who put on that weird front bumper, too.

So now, this poor LR4 has a Habsburg jaw in the front, and a spare in the rear that's sliding down like a running egg.

Sorry, OP. But there's absolutely nothing "safari" about this.

It may not seem so cheap if your wheel & mount depart your vehicle on a 5 hour run on
serious corrugated tracks. That can even happen with cheaper replacement bumpers with
swing mounts - I've seen it myself. For that reason alone, most guys here in Oz will only
fit a top-quality steel bumper like those made here by Kaymar. They're worth every dollar,
especially with a Compomotive wheel/Goodrich KO2 costing so much to replace. No rattles
or flexing & the steel bumper adds serious protection to the rear end of your irreplaceable
D4. No owner should ever take the "cheap option" with their brilliant LR vehicle.

Ya, i don't want to be mean. It is his rig and whatever works for him and his taste I guess, but this is not a good idea for any off road use. The departure angle alone.. ouch. Style wise, well I really strongly don't care for this. Its way too low and far off the back and just looks mechanically questionable. But this rig clearly isn't being used off road.. .which is fine.

But if you do intend to leave the pavement, there is a good reason that people put rear bars on these for this use case. It costs what it does for a reason. You need a VERY strong spindle and the weight of the wheel/tire needs to be on solid frame structure, like the top of a steel bumper. It also needs to be fastened with something with tension that doesn't allow any movement. Gravel washboard is one thing but actually bouncing around on trails is even worse. That weight will tear that thing apart.
