I just realized that the gas engine in the Grenadier is the same one that's in the new Supra. I'm not up to speed enough to know what all changes Toyota made to the base BMW B58 to know whether it's appreciably different than the standard.

But I suppose that gives me something to troll people with when they say they "should have put a Toyota engine in it."

I’ll be honest the moment they selected that engine I was out. I’ve owned too many BMWs to know that, that was a huge mistake. I can’t imagine what the mark up will be when it actually comes to market.

My buddy received the same email and they're honoring the presale pricing at $71k. They probably didn't want to get slapped with a clickbait lawsuit. He's going to buy it for the presale of $71k and probably resell it at msrp $90-100k.

This market is crazy. It's not going to let off anytime soon. People buying cars for $10k+ over msrp are screwed when price adjusts back to "normal". Imagine all the Bronco buyers buying at $60-$70k, $30k over msrp, for a base model and they could only resell it at $25k in a few years.

Yeah, the market is nuts. I've got deposits down on both a Rivian and Ineos. Not much money to tie up to get in the queue and fully refundable. Glad I was in before March 1! I'm not into to buying new trucks, especially first model years....but going to need a daily driver sometime soon to replace my aging 2012 (planning on keeping it though....at least for a while).

anyone have any updates on the Grenadier?

Wondering if it's a worthy flip? Think I am number 400 and some on the US deposit list.
