Definitely do not want to get into the upvote-downvote usefulness or in-usefulness PITA of eco mode. My question is how did the No ECO amber light appear. Mine was after a two hour trip and it arose out of nowhere. Once home the light appeared at startup. During a drive, (15 mile to town) the light went out and then appear off and on over the next week. The shutoff at stops never occurred since warning light first appeared. Lazy as I am this time of year, (cold garage now even in March in NC), I did not put amp meter on batteries. I did order an excise PK151 from Europe on EBAY as the LR is 5 1/2 years old and figured last owner hadn’t changed out ever. So my question is other than new battery and reset, (love that
Gap iidbt) is there another gremlin out there I should be chasing?

And let me finish saying. This forum has incredible people and knowledge and after lurking for a few months convinced me to pull the trigger and get the LR4 with the HD package to roam the field, hills and steams of the farm.

More than likely it’s just the battery dying. My eco has never worked, but my light came on last year. Mine did the same as yours - came and went occasionally, then just stayed on. I checked the battery and it was very dead - down to something like 10V. Replaced it and the light went off (and, happily for me, still no eco). I think I did have a fault code pertaining to the battery show up as well, but can’t remember what it was exactly.

I agree; it sounds like the battery is dying. I experienced similar symptoms when my start/stop battery died. It only lasted about five years. Switching it out and a battery reset fixed it for me.

As it relates to the amber no eco light. Is it standard for this light to come on when in sand and rock crawl modes. It doesn't come in any of the other modes, just those two.

I'm a first time LR owner, and I'm like ving the truck, but the yellow light makes me a bit nervous.

Thanks for replies. The excide battery is on the way and here by the 28th. Gap iid got here today from lucky8 so will be doing oil change and reset as a warm up for battery change. I metered them both yesterday. 14.2 on main and 10.6 on the ECO. Will update the post once I make the change.
