Hey everyone,

Anyone experience this? It was definitely pumping and recently and noticed it's no longer doing so in the past few days.

Never heard it blow and suspect it's either the amp, a fuse, or a loose wire. Was reading elsewhere that the amp behind rear quarter panel but not sure which one. Gonna check the fuse box first.

Thanks

I've owned my 2011 LUX for a few years now, and honestly the system sounds pretty good to me so I've never looked much into this. But I've never had any kind of thump. And when I turn the sub all the way up or down on the stereo settings, I hear no audible difference at all (but the bass setting makes a difference). It appears that I should? I just thought maybe it was weak. But maybe there is an issue. Thoughts on where to start?

My LR4 rattles my chest and bums. Do yourself a favor guys, upgrade the subwoofer. Doesn’t matter if you’re into classical, country, reggae, or rap music .

My car does the same thing. HSE (No lux)

I've had the tailgate open and have verified the subwoofer back there does indeed work, but its limp.

Did you put a different sub in the tailgate or do something else?

At first i put an aftermarket subwoofer into the tailgate after the original one quit on me. It sounded way better, but the tailgate isn’t the best spot for a subwoofer. Its not sealed properly for acoustics. It sounded like a speaker in a tin can. I made a small thin custom box that fits in the trunk alongside the left side of the trunk. I’m still able to use my rear seats. Thats how thin the box is. It powers a 12 inch sub and it is amazing. I can post pics if you’d like. I’m running it off a decent sized amplifier.

post the picture please. My first though is a box would cover the third row heat vent?

Hmm i mean it covers it yes, but not an airtight seal. Its been about 5 years and I haven’t noticed any issues with the rear HVAC. Ill post pics soon.

The amp is inside the cubby.
