The sensors work, but it doesn’t work properly even when they are brand new. Sometimes it detects when it has a slow leak and the level in the reservoir dips. Sometimes during a catastrophic loss it doesn’t trip the sensor for some reason. Then the coolant temp* sensor is a different story. It won’t sense the temp of fluid that isn’t there so the temp remains in the middle on the dash when in actuality the block is overheating. That is why people fry their engines when the crossover pipes go. Point of all this…these sensors are never* to be trusted unfortunately. On a side note - what would the collective think is the fail rate on the coolant level sensors (miles or years)? Should that be on the list of crossover pipe bits since it's a $25 part?
