I never paid any attention to this until recently, but does the sunroof not open all the way? Mine stops retracting about 1/3 or 1/4 of the way.

Mine opens almost all the way. Maybe 2" at most is poking in. Check your guides and make sure nothing is blocking it.

It's in the manual somewhere... Can't get to the manual now (car is at the mechanic for some new bushings, brakes and fluids. 3-day Mojave Road trip coming up!) From recollection, with the sunroof closed and the ignition turned on, press and hold the sunroof's front/close button for about 20 seconds. The sunroof should eventually start moving. Continue to hold the close button pressed, until the sunroof has completed a full open + close cycle. When the sunroof fully closes and stops moving again, release the button. Sunroof should now be calibrated. Give it a shot and let us know if that doesn't work, in which case I'd look for possible physical obstructions in the rails mechanism. Sunroof should slide back about 80/90% open normally.

Thanks for all the input guys. This is how far the sunroof opens. Does it seem right?

How can I check the guides? Do I need to remove the headliner? My sunroof opened 3/4 of the way, but now no power. No switch operation and no amount of holding any button works. You can hear a click each time any button is pushed. Fuse good, windows work OK. I will check the wiring on the passenger side.

My manual states to hold the center lift button for 20 seconds. I held it for at least a minute and no response, just herd a cli k when I depressed the button. Nothing else.

 Now I've seen some necroposting, but this has to be a top contender. 5-year bump... :adore:
