I had a new windshield fitted on my 2012 LR4, but now the wind noise around the two side trim pieces is unbearable at speed. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know a reliable fix?

A-pillar clips are single use. Windshield guys know about this, but instead of replacing these clips they attach A-pillars with urethane... I never understood why are they being so cheap, but nevertheless here is what you'll need:
1. New clips: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07YDM2JW3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
2. Goo-gone (I'm almost sure a-pillars were reattached on old clips and urethane was used to hold it in place, because otherwise they would snap off on a highway)

When I went to replace my worn-out A-pillars I was greeted with a sloppy auto adhesive job on the driver-side. Heat gun made short work of it thankfully.

Also, it is a LOT easier to get the bottom windshield brackets out by muscling them out rather than removing the cowl. They likely did this and bent it. It should be flush with your windscreen with no gap.

Had this and the above issues with the side trim on mine. Glass shop ended up replacing both pieces of trim and cowl. It was an ordeal but they finally owned up to it.

I went through a similar thing. A few notes from my experience.

1. Not all clips are created equal. I couldn’t find any that were not original LR parts that held as tightly.

2. If the trim piece is original then look to make sure that the 2 locating pieces are in place. One at the top and one at the bottom of the trim piece. These should also be gasketed. The other thing is that the rubber sealing strips do get a memory and they help provide some of the tightness of fit and reduce wind noise.

3. Water ingress is a real thing on the A pillars. So make sure the gaskets on the clips are in good condition.

4. If you’re looking at replacing the A pillar trim pieces then have a look at your cowl. It may be past it as well.

Great info Arman (and others). Just ordered new clips.

I have a noise and vibration at high speeds on my 2011 LR4, but I am wondering if it might be something that is going on with my windshield rather than the pillar clips. It's kind of hard to see but the top of the passenger's side of the windshield has a bit of a gap while the driver's side is flush. (See attached pics). It almost looks like a slight defect in the manufacturing of the roof where is comes together with the windshield on the passenger's side. Has anyone else come across this?

Badly installed windscreen. Could be the cause of the noise. Is it an original (LandRover or Pilkinton) windscreen? The non genuine ones usually have a poor fit and cause all sort of problems.
