OEM shocks vs B6 bilstein ride quality differs in tastes depending on the person. A family friend of mine put those bilstein B6 air shocks on his LR4 and he LOVES them over his original set up. He had a 2013 with the oem bags and changed em out at 150K miles. I just verified with him. Anyways, I drove his LR4 and i HATED IT haha. It was so rough riding and it didn’t soak up small NYC road bumps well. The huge potholes felt the same, but i dodge 95% of those anyways. It’s the small everyday road imperfections that really give you an idea of how well a suspension soaks up bumps. My worn out suspension on my 2011 with 114k miles rode like a lexus in comparison to his. Basically if you like a comfy ride stick with the OEM stuff. The B6 is definitely some heavy duty stuff in my opinion for extremely rough terrain? Not too sure as i don’t off-road much unfortunately. Others may chime in and say its better or worse for street driving, but ultimately it depends on the person. Mind you i own a lot of sporty vehicles so i have a taste for rough riding vehicles, but on the LR4? Nahhhh
Oh but i must add, the LR4 with the B6 shocks had way less body roll….his sway bar bushings were the original, so i think the B6 definitely helped with that. Body roll wasn’t a huge issue with me though as the LR4 is a giant box lol i’m used to it. Just drive slower around turns haha
