Hi all, I need some help with my horn issues.
I am now well versed in fitting the cables at the back of the CJB. Whoever designed that needs a medal!

Basic model without sun roofs so havent got water ingress.

Pulled the Horn fuse 12P, key fob doesnt sound the horn, suggesting all is ok up to the fuse.
Continuity tested ok from the CJB connector C0580 to clock spring and through the horn pushes, all ok.

Removed the CJB, already looks to have been opened up previously.
Slight greening of the pins CO583 going in to the CJB.

Anyone aware of troublesome earth cables after the horn pushes?
Can the CJB be tested off the vehicle before committing to a replacement.

Associated issues.
I replaced the ECU after the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree. Plenty of corrosion on the pins. Got a replacement and all lights extinguished. I am thinks water may have traced down the cables.

Many thanks in advance.

Mark

Is your issue that the horn doesn't work or are there other issues? For me horn was intermittent, cruise control was intermittent and volume was intermittent so it turned out to be the clock spring.

Thanks for your input remember5
In this instance just the horn not working. Base model, so havent got cruise control to go wrong. What is frustrating is hearing the horns sounding when the alarm activates.
I have checked the continuity through the clock spring and all is testing fine.

If it does help someone else out.
Diagnosed all the standard issues with the horn. Horns, clock spring, horn pushes all tested ok, so I bit the bullet and had the CJB replaced.
Working again.
The give away for me was hearing the horn beep once when activating the central locking with a door open, indicating all the wiring to the horns was ok.
Good luck!
