Looking for the best threads or resources out there for a second battery install for my 2011 HSE. Ideally I’m looking for a simple setup for camping that allows me to manually switch from starter to house battery when parking for the night, then charges both batteries during the day when driving. Mostly looking to power audio and lighting, maybe a fridge in summer, maybe electric blankets in winter. Thanks - I’m new to the LR4, still transitioning from my 100-series LC.

a company out of Australia, Traxide, make kits. They require a little modification to work in US-spec cars due to our V8 configuration taking up more under-hood space, but folks here have made them work. It's on my list, eventually.

This. Just searching for "traxide" will give you a lot of good threads.

OP, keep in mind that a dual battery install on a 2014-16 LR4 is way more involved than it would be on your 2011. Michael Gain did the hero's work on a dual battery install on his, but thankfully a lot of his headaches won't be yours.

Creating the wiring is easy, I’ll share what I used on my FJ80.

My question: on a 5.0 powered LR4 where do you put the aux battery? It’s tight in there!

I installed the Traxide D3-BU kit. The main thing is clearing out space in the second battery tray - driver's side; to do this you need to move the ECU. The dust cover can be modified so you can keep the ECU covered - I don't think the instructions for that is in one of the websites below, but I'll keep looking.

Here's a photo of my second battery.

I saved the urls for some of the forum posts I looked at. The first three is a good 3-part write up that will walk you through it. The others have info too.

Here's a 3 part instruction:
