I've had a very slow coolant leak, and I found out that it is coming from the small plastic hose that plugs into the water pump. If I wiggle it coolant leaks thru the seal. I am not sure if I can get a new seal, or if I am going to need to replace the whole water pump. Anyone have this issue before?

Water pumps seem like a ~65k maintenance item on the 5.0, so depending on how old yours is you may as well replace it regardless.

Common. Probably broken when pump was last replaced. Cannot buy that little elbow from Land Rover. You have to buy a hose assembly and either replumb your current system or cut that elbow out from new assembly. There is a aftermarket brass version floating about. Use the google fu.

Is this easy to replace or does a lot of parts have to come off to gain access? Thinking for only $10 bucks would be a great thing to do replace “just in case” type of thing.

You'll need to remove the fan shroud and fan clutch to get access.

On the Land Rover scale it is very easy. If unsure take it to a mechanic.
