Hey Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knows how to remove the black plastic wire loom cover that runs along the floorboard on the LR4.

I had this great idea at the time to see if I can retrofit my HSE with heated seats. I figured that all the LR4s had the same wiring looms and just needed the right parts including seats, climate control panel, etc. and activate it using the GAP IId tool.

I’m in the process of doing it now and already swapped out the climate controls and just pulled the passenger seat.

Of course, the wiring loom that I think I need for the heated seat module is not there but wondering if it is tucked away. It’s for the 2 small connectors to the right.

Anyway, please let me know and thanks for your help.

This is on a 2013 LR4 HSE.

Just in case you are wondering, I wanted the HSE LUX with the rear locker but couldn’t find one at the time. The rear locker was more important to me so got it and never regretted it. It would be nice though if I could get this to work.

Thanks,

Glenn

not helpful to you here, but I'm surprised your HSE didn't come with heated seats - ours did, and is not a Lux but does have the locking diff/etc.

Thanks and unfortunately not.

Btw, I was able to pop the black cover off, it wasn’t hard after all, I wasn’t sure if the plastic rivets would pull out and was afraid of breaking them.

Knowing that you have heated seats, gives me some hope

My HSE came with heated fron/rear seats too. As part of the cold weather package I believe, so heated steering wheel as well.

Where is the first photo you took, under the passenger seat?

I think most of the HSEs were ordered with the Climate Comfort package, which included heated front & rear seats, heated windshield and washer jets, and steering wheel. When I was looking for my second LR4, I saw a few in CA and FL that didn't have heated seats. Slightly different control panel in the middle.

I think they're all pre-wired, regardless if fitted or not, just plug and play. You'll also need the heated seat buttons on the console, also pre-wired.

Sorry for not responding sooner, took a trip during thanksgiving and now just getting back to this. The picture is the underside of the passenger seat. I posted it with my iPhone and didn't realize the photos were rotated...

Anyway, the funny part is, couldn't find the plugs for the two small connectors but found the plug for the middle seat. I am going to take another look tomorrow and will let you know what I find out.

I am under the same impression but not sure why it's not there. I did find some wires that were cut and terminated (looks like it was done at the factory) at that location and have a feeling it was for the two plugs. However, not sure why they would have cut those and not the plug for the middle seat.
