2015 V6

Hey looking to replace my MAF and MAP sensors and looking for recommendations on brands? Looks like my best options on the MAF Sensor would either be Bosch(whats currently in there) or Delphi. Then on the MAP Sensor I'm not sure....URA, VDO, Continental and also found a Bosch BUT the picture shows 4 metal prongs while all other MAP sensors show only 3 prongs?

Also does anyone have a good write up on MAP sensor replacement? I found one for the V8 but not sure if my 2015 V6 is different or not?

Just so you know I have cleaned the MAF Sensors but it still runs a little rough mainly going park to R or D. Also got a generic code P00BC that seems to be MAF/MAP code. I did look through the forums and I remember reading that someone suggested to replace the MAP sensor with the kind of symptoms I'm having AND one thing that stood out is that in the mornings with a start up I have zero problems and someone posted that a problem with a MAF/MAP sensor would not cause an issue as morning start ups don't go by the sensors. Thats what I'm experiencing.

Also when this happens, again mainly when going from part to R or D but mostly R, it has died and have had a battery symbol pop up on the dash but go away(thought maybe my alternator was causing an issue). Once I even had a message that I had a transmission fault when this happened.

My luck its probably just not one issue but several. Thought I'd start with replacing the MAF and MAP sensors to see what that does.

Thanks for the help and recommendations.

Any idea if the LR4 came with Bosch MAFs from factor? Like I said that’s what is on there now and I’m wondering if they have been replaced already. Thanks

Funny I was just writing in the other thread: these vehicles do not like batteries that are on the way out, causes all kinds of wonky things like this. You mentioned the brief Batt light? How old is the battery?
The MAP sensor should be right behind the throttle, it is on the V8 and is cheap and easy to replace, not sure on the V6, the super charger might be on top of it? The part is the same from my research, they were all listed 2010-2016.

Battery is less than a year old BUT it was replaced under warranty and the original was only about 1.5 years old.

Bosch are factory fit on the SCV6.

The throttle body MAP sensor is the same, but the SCV6 has an additional MAP sensor on the back driver's side of the intake manifold.

Thank you for the information Michael. Do you happen to know if the throttle body MAP Sensor and the MAP sensor on the back isde of the intake manifold are the exact same part? If not, do you happen to know the part info for the intake manifold sensor? Thanks

Different part numbers my friend.

Here is the part number for the one on the back of the intake manifold: LR021587

Here is the one on the throttle body: LR087236

Hey Michael thank you very much for the part numbers! I was able to get behind there and found it! Took a picture and its actually a Volvo part, mine looks just like the attached RED Volvo MAP Sensor. Probably no big deal

When I went a searched for the LR021587 part number I actually found the red Volvo one AND the Bosch one that I attached a picture of as well. Guessing they will both work?

The one that, probably not a big deal, is that on the Volvo one it reads 0261230296 and the Bosch one reads 0261230295! So the same except for the Volvo has a 6 at the end and Bosch a 5 at the end. Any idea if this matters at all?

Thanks again and really appreciate the help as I'm not experience mechanic but just willing to do what I can myself to save some money and learn!
