Glad you were able to get it out! They both should work. Mine was a Volvo sensor as well. When I ordered a new one, using that part number, a Volvo one was in the box lol.

@Michael Gain - Nice to see you still active on the forum. Did you get tired of that Rebel yet? Ready to get another LR4 (not that I’m selling)?
Ha! The rebel is now my wife's. I have a power wagon. I have been dumping more money into the power wagon than I promised I would...

I do actually miss the LR4. Best vehicle I ever owned. You see that little LED light bar in the grill? That took the removal of 17 plastic fasteners, about 20, 10mm bolts, and 7 nuts--just to remove the grill.

I remember the LR4 had two clips you depress and then you pull the grill out. Oh, and the head lights come out by sliding two bars... I don't want to know how many hidden bolts I would need to access to remove the headlight on this beast.

I truly enjoy still reading what everyone is doing on this forum. Lots of great adventures, interesting mods, beautiful trucks, and a great community.

I'll keep popping my head back over here from time to time.

Now back to MAFs and MAPs.

Hmm makes me wonder if I should send the Bosch one back and get the Volvo.

Michael do you have any tips on getting the back MAP sensor off? Like I said I did find it and I can feel the small bolt but for the life of me I can not get a wrench or anything back there to take the bolt off. Plus I'm a little worried that once I get the bolt off it might fall into the black hole or engines and never be seen again haha.

Thanks

Don't worry about Volvo vs Bosch. You should be good.

If I remember right (I'm sorry, it has been a bit), you will have a lot more room if you remove the rear engine cover mount. It should be two, maybe three bolts. Take a picture so you can match orientation. Remove that piece and use a 1/4" ratchet and you should be golden. Also, if I remember right, the MAP bolt is a weird size--either 7.5mm or 8mm.

Take your time and you will be good!
