Hi

Seems like my 16 HSE is starting to give me issues!

Looks like my right headlight is out- see pic- looks Amber.

I saw a video on how to change it myself, so I’ll try that.

Do I buy the OEM replacement from Atlantic British? D3S 35w hid xenon? $120

Or something else?

Do I replace both at the same time? Or wait for the left to crap out?

Thanks!

Any D3S bulb should work; Philips and Osram are well-regarded for their HID bulbs. Supposedly one of the Osram bulbs has higher output over "standard" HID bulbs, although I've never tried it.

I installed a set of the brighter bulbs in my son's 2015 Audi A4 and they are definitely brighter. Although I cheaped out and bought the $5 ones, because its not my car, and not my money. They both work fine.

Buy 2 sets of the cheap ones $30) from Amazon or where ever, and keep a set in the back. The ones between 4k and 5k are the best for all weather conditions.
