I’ve been driving an LR4 for a few weeks now, and my biggest annoyance thus far is the climate controls. Whenever I start the vehicle, they always default back to 66 (driver) and 70 (passenger) with a fan speed of 2. Id like them to either by default be off or to remain on the same temp as I left it on. Has anyone experienced this and been able to resolve?

Mine definitely doesn't do this... I have a somewhat similar complaint in that my front windscreen heater and rear heater always come on... I prefer to be in charge of this!... I did purchase a replacement for this control panel (as I had issues with sticky buttons) but can't really comment on what stores the previous temperature... pulling this out wasn't too bad! The replacement part I found on ebay for about $70. Good luck.

The front/rear heater is something that comes on when the external temperature is cold enough for the "snowflake" to appear in the temp reading in the gauges behind the steering wheel. Not sure if there's a way to turn it off, even using the iiD tool.

My HVAC, however, always maintains the same settings they were at when I last turned off the vehicle, though.

I suspected that the case with heaters! And was also wondering about the iiD tool now that I have one!

Anyway, don't want to hijack the OP's thread! Good to know we're on the same page wrt to the heat.

Didn’t you mention you had some random warning lights on your other thread too?

Does the vehicles clock stay set?

Another +1 for new battery.

If you want a slight upgrade, an H8 battery will fit without any mods. I believe H7 is the stock size.

Went to inspect the battery, looks like JLR so I’ll have it tested tomorrow. On a side not, does anyone know what the green connector goes to? It was just hanging out in the battery compartment and not attached to anything. Also a hose there with no connection as well. Photos below.

The connector is for the transit relay.
Once the vehicle has the pre dilivery is performed, the relay is no longer needed.

Batteries on the LR4 don't usually last long. The original batteries on these weren't great and most people needed a new one at around 2.5 years. That was still within the warranty period, and most dealers replaced them with Interstate batteries. That's what was on mine when I bought mine at about the 3-year mark. I drove with that battery almost 2 years and 24,000 miles until it went bad and I replaced it with another Interstate. That battery lasted me about 3 years and 34,000 miles until I replaced it with an Odyssey. Now I regularly use a ctek on my battery and hope it will last longer.

This is all to say that, if that's your original or your second battery, it belongs in a museum. I can almost guarantee you that it's time for a new one. I joined this forum right when I bought my Rover and most on here at that time were still the original owners. I have never seen a "JLR"-branded battery posted here before.
