I’m looking for help here, I need an advise on what service needs to be done on my LR4 at 52,000 miles. I don’t have a great relationship with my dealer where I bought it brand new, because last year I took it to a different dealer for service since they where to busy, now they said can’t offer me a loaner because of that and because my car is old they said.
I don’t care about this, I just want my car serviced, they want me to drop it scheduling an appointment which is fine but at the same time I don’t want to spend so much money on the service for this truck because I’m afraid they would ask me for many things to be serviced on my LR4.
Should I used my local mechanic to check it and do the oil change?
Please advise!

Out of warranty Land Rovers should never visit the dealer, unless you literally don't mind ******* money away. Some people don't mind, and that is fine.

If it is something you do not want to do yourself, find a decent shop that is familiar with these vehicles.

Where are you located?

Thanks for your reply and yes I’m thinking the same, that I will look for a decent mechanic around here.
I’m located on New Jersey.

I could not agree more.
I'm in Philly and there are 2 indy Land Rover shops around here. Must be some in Jersey.
Anyone can change the oil and thats the most important thing with these engines. Do it more frequently than you think, tons of threads here.
Also, change the tranny fluid soon if you have not. My Indy guy said I should have done it sooner than 99k even though LR says it's "lifetime."
Congrats on having such a little used LR4 #heirloom

I got the oil changed on a place that I found near me, it does all European cars, it is called RSW Europe and the service was ok.
I’m happy to find friendly people here, I used to post here long time ago.

Here are some pics of my LR4 and thanks for the help.
