I’m sorry but I already tried the open the door and hood way and the trip reset button way and nothing is working.
Can someone help me to get the right way to reset this warning and go away.

Thanks in advance,

George,

Trip reset hold down the button on the left turn stock and it should reset. For the service required message I think you need a scanner to reset it.

That door/hood/reset trick only works on later models. For the 2012, you need a scanner to reset. Another reason to get the IID tool (though that's a big expense if all you do with it is reset the service reminder)

I bought mine in the UK, with the exchange rate and shipping (£25) it worked out at $472 and took about a week to arrive... Here is a link:

Just a note. If you get the GAP and run the reset routine and it doesn't take on the first time, keep trying.

I have no idea why, but it sometimes takes me 3 or 4 attempts to get that message to actually go away when using the GAP tool.

Folks, just after engine on but once all the other instrument panel lights have gone off I see a "Service Required" warning, which after a few seconds disappears. Is this normal behavior or should the "Service Required" stay illuminated if indeed a service is required? I'm not aware of any pending service items hence why it seems weird... Perhaps it's part of the startup procedure and I've just never seen it before? Thoughts gratefully received - Thanks.
