Mine are gouged to hell from dragging them through boulder fields, but they were pristine when they came out of the box and thus far show no signs of that.

Mine are lucky if they get washed once a year, though.

UV damage was my first thought when I saw the pic. Looks just like clear coat pealing on hoods, roofs or even on headlights from UV damage. Maybe on one try light sanding and spraying with some 2K clear?

I like your idea. I will have to study up in the use and application of the K2 product. I am guessing YouTube should have an endless supply "how to" videos for me to watch.

Its worth looking around for a "wheel guy." I found a small shop in a random industrial park where this guy works magic on wheels for darn good prices. Had our original wheels back to better than new for $100US per wheel. These are dirty but you get the idea. So much corrosion in the pockets from brake dust and he cleaned it all up.

Yea, YouTube has a lot of videos on how to diy clear. Like @Al Pizzica said, you could also look for a wheel guy who could essentially do the same thing; the 2K option would just be the diy route. I have also used Rustolium’s wheel paint (black) on my old suv and motorcycle wheels and it held up extremely well
