Well that was a s****y answer to say the least. I haven't been to the dealer for brakes in a very long time. Currently, I go to my long time Land Rover mechanic all all my services. I have not experienced any brake issues when I have had my brakes done at his garage.

I will be doing the same but it's a 45 mile drive versus literally 2 miles to the dealer so the dealer is so much more convenient. Plus, once I'm at that independent shop I have no way back unless I Uber it and at that cost back and forth doesn't make financial sense on smaller repairs. Come to think of it, a Land Rover doesn't necessarily make financial sense either. Ha!

Dealer said JLR is now saying you'll just have to live with the squealing. Assuming the brakes otherwise work fine, there's nothing more they can do about it. Just like that.
Really bad business decision by the dealer. Not really a shocker,..but still. Also sets a really low bar for "work fine". SMH.
Just for the heck of it, shoot a note off to the JLR dealer rep. for the area? A 'farewell'..forever.

I'm just tossing out there that the Powerstop Eurostop pads and rotors from FCP I put on semi recently are a nightmare for noise and dust. Great for braking the 6000lb beast but would not recommend them for the silver wheels.

You bring up a valid point in that I'll escalate this. I just now started with the service advisor and I asked him to spell out for me any steps involved in resolving this because this is unacceptable. We'll see what he says.

Well that was fast. "Bring the car in Monday and we'll put some Ferodo pads on the front and rears and see if we can't stop that squealing." Man they are all over the place but I like the effort.

Great! Clearly the right thing for them to do. Just fyi, been paying more attention driving around town (sounds turned down) since this started and my last post..no more squealing at all from my Ferodos. Good luck!

Do you know which Ferodos you have?

Here are the current links to the ones that I purchased from FCP:

Front: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/land-rover-brake-pad-set-ferodo-lr134700#description OE spec and fits 2010-2016

Rear: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/land-rover-brake-pad-set-ferodo-lr015519#description OE spec and fits 2010-2016

I also purchased new wear sensors. Prices for them are higher now (what isn't?). There's a 5% discount code.
Thank you for the link. Through searching I found Land Rover stamped Ferodo pads so I assumed they must be OEM. Forwarded the pictures of them to my svc advisor and he said they are NOT the ones they use. Kind of confused by that.
