    P0170 fuel trim and CEL

What trails did you end up doing? We were there in April though we took our Raptor instead of the LR4. That turned out to be a huge mistake as we had to leave it at the Ford dealer in Cedar City for the whole trip and rolled into Moab in a rented minivan.

    Audio Control Module

I did a quick internet search for stereo/navigation repair in New York, there are quite a few. You might want to take it to one of those indy shops and get an estimate. Mine ended up being just over $700. They thought they could repair it but ended up having to replace with a refurbished unit...

    Audio Control Module

I doubt it considering it’s all integrated with the vehicle. If you find something better I’d love to hear about it though. Not sure your location but the shop I used is called Short Circuit in San Jose California. They have a LA location as well

    Audio Control Module

I found a repair shop for vehicle nav/audio systems and had mine replaced for apx $700. Regular Indy shop won’t touch this stuff.

    Aluminum crossovers exist now! (maybe)

Looks like it fits the supercharged V8 version that was not available on the LR4.

New Recall Alert : Fuel System

Wondering about this myself. I had the tank cover and seal replaced with the then-current parts in 2019. The dealer told me to bring my receipt down to do the paperwork and the reimbursement would take a few weeks. I’ll ask about the rest when I go see them.

Bay Area (SF) Rec for an Independent Land Rover Service Shop

Jaguar Purrformance in Los Gatos is my favorite but they don’t do any mods. Dealer parts/stock setup only but they are awesome. If you are dealing with something outside of stock Exclusive British European in Campbell is good, their lot usually has a bunch of old defenders parked in it to...

North or South Bay? I have a couple to recommend if south.

New Recall Alert : Fuel System

Of course as soon as I posted this my second letter arrived! Basically says that parts are now available and to schedule with your dealer. If you have already done the repair you are supposed to contact your local dealer with your original receipt for reimbursement.

Has anyone received that second letter yet?

Follow up on detachable tow hitch receiver

I’ve been cursing that hitch every time I remove it since I acquired the vehicle in my late 30s. Doing it at 85? I’m impressed and thanks for the tips.

Help needed : LR4 with a Range Rover engine cover?

I had the dealer lose my cover once, I didn’t realize until too late and found out how expensive they are. They cut the motor noise down a lot though. If I’d had a Range Rover cover and it fit I would have used it.

Is HD package so useful in snow?

So I have bit of a mystery here, my truck's at the shop right now and I called and had them check. I do have a locking rear diff but not a full size spare. I bought it used so maybe they swapped it out at some point before I got it.

Is HD package so useful in snow?

I’m waiting for the truck to get home tomorrow so I can verify, I don’t believe I’ve ever seen it lock now that I think about it. I was concentrating on the obstacle at the time but remember wondering why I never saw it lol. I rarely use that screen when wheeling. It does explain the difficulty...

Is HD package so useful in snow?

I'm a bit confused by the HD package. I have a 2010 with the V8, two-speed transfer case and locking rear diff but do not have a full size spare. It's full height but not full width. Not that it matters as I changed to larger tires but I'm trying to figure out what I have for an options package.

Are these two options available with the Gap tool?

Mine work at speed, I've turned them on when on the freeway.

Steal of a deal on an LR4 with issues

How did you open that thing? If I remember correctly it was spot welded shut. I bought an aftermarket one off amazon and after a couple days the tire fell off, fortunately it was in the driveway not doing 70 on the freeway. The bracket at the end of the cable fell apart. Decided to just buy...

I’ve replaced that winch, like everything LR it’s not cheap.

New Recall Alert : Fuel System

No warning lights for me, just started smelling fuel walking by the vehicle after parking.

    Selling the LR4

I’ve test driven the defender and RR more than once. The RR sport sounds amazing but all I can think is “why can’t I get this engine in a LR4?”, the defender was solid but so boring. I’m just going to keep mine and stick with the “fun trips” use schedule. I have room for it on my mountain...

SYA Kit Owners - measurement help

You can do that? It would be a lot cheaper than a whole new set of struts back there. A second whole new set lol, I've barely got 500 miles on these.

Crazy to add Tactical Rear bumper at 104k?

I have to do something to get my 32" spare out of the cargo area/3rd row. Sounds like I better hurry up and order one if I want to do it this year.

SYA Kit Owners - measurement help

My current measurements are roughly 20 3/4" Front and 21 1/4" Rear, the front feels great but the rear still bottoms out too easily. I can't drive down a bumpy road without going into off road height. Beginning to wonder if I got the wrong Arnotts.
