Is this easy to replace or does a lot of parts have to come off to gain access? Thinking for only $10 bucks would be a great thing to do replace “just in case” type of thing.
Yes sorry...2015 SCV6
Yup I think your correct and here is a picture I "Believe" is the leak location. When looking at the hose it seems like JUST this small portion can be replaced instead of the entire assembly. Thoughts?
Was checking my oil filter for any leaks and noticed a hose that seems to be leaking. The hose has "PA66-GF30" on it but when I search for that it only brings up Dico stuff? Below are a couple of pictures. One with me wiping it with a towel and then one thats a few seconds latter starting to...
Hey Everyone,
Had my 2015 LR4 in at the dealership to replace a filler neck issues caused by a bad recall fuel flange work. While in the shop the tech said I have a bad oil leak, have never noticed any on the garage and I have never had to add more oil to the Rover between 6k-7k mile oil...
Another update:
So after a couple of weeks the Land Rover dealership agreed to replace the filler neck for free. I was excited but of course the filler neck was backordered so I had to wait. Well I picked up the LR4 late last week and within a day the gas cap light went on followed by a check...
Update....
The service advisor did call back and said he has been doing research himself and did in fact find examples of the recall not being done correctly and could stretch the filler neck that would cause the problem that I'm having. He has been very very helpful and I truly do feel he is...
Well they still won't repair the filler neck! Saying the recall could not have done any damage and that its a "age" issue. The person I have been talking with is just a tech advisor and it was his manager that made the call. I requested that the manager call me and to provide proof of this...
Just got a call from the dealer tech advisor. Looks like they want to replace the filler neck because it is causing the EVAP leak. Said he doesn't believe the recall fix could damage it but I said yes it could and multiple people have had this happen so he is going to talk with his manager...
Thanks for the information. So I have not talked with the service rep yet but I'm wondering if they play the "the recall could not have caused the filler neck problem". Also you say that a leaking fuel flange(I believe this is the exact recall item?) caused the purge valve to overwork and it...
Also, Where did you buy the purge valve? Guessing its the "vapor canister purge valve" I see some come with lines and some don't? Did you buy Land Rover or aftermarket? Thanks again
Thanks for the response. While not trying to make myself look took much like a simpleton, which problem should the purge valve replacement fix? Also, do you have a write up or video by chance? I search a little and couldn't find anything.
Well I had the recall service a few months ago and have experienced a few things that I thought had not been related to each other.
1) Basically empty gas tank can only fit in 16-17 gallons....guessing it should be more?
2) Gas cap not on, replaced twice with LR cap and goes away but comes...
Michael do you have any tips on getting the back MAP sensor off? Like I said I did find it and I can feel the small bolt but for the life of me I can not get a wrench or anything back there to take the bolt off. Plus I'm a little worried that once I get the bolt off it might fall into the...
Hey Michael thank you very much for the part numbers! I was able to get behind there and found it! Took a picture and its actually a Volvo part, mine looks just like the attached RED Volvo MAP Sensor. Probably no big deal
When I went a searched for the LR021587 part number I actually found...
Thanks again for answering this. The one up front is pretty easy to get at but for the life of me I can't find the MAP sensor on the back of the intake manifold or if its the exact same as the other sensor or an entirely different part.
Thank you for the information Michael. Do you happen to know if the throttle body MAP Sensor and the MAP sensor on the back isde of the intake manifold are the exact same part? If not, do you happen to know the part info for the intake manifold sensor? Thanks
