    ARB Fridge

My ARB has been in that spot for years. It is literally perfect for that use. Functions nicely as a table/arm rest for rear seat occupants as well. I designed my sleeping platform with a hinged lid that still allows access to it when the platform is in place. Several years on and I would not...

    Prospeed product interest?

I would be in for a set of front and rear control arm guards and a RAI light bar.

    Radiator replacement

I have been running the aluminum connector for approximately 30K with no issues.

    Bullet Proof Control Arm Bushings

I have given them a look several times, and thus far, no issues. As recently as last week, actually. No squeaks, no cracks. Maybe I got lucky for once.

My LR4 experiences in terms of mechanical issues that keep piling up

High performance vehicles require more maintenance than a Japanese sedan. It's a 6,000 pound plus vehicle that will compete with stock Wranglers to get you down a trail, and also cruise comfortably and quietly at 100mph to get to the trail. Other than the timing chain and cooling system issues...

    Bullet Proof Control Arm Bushings

30K on my urethane bushings at this point and no issues to report. This is on a heavy, modded truck running 33.2 tires that sees dirt and rocks. Still happy with them so far.

I think it's time to move on...

You're correct on the Grenadier, and that might be the most compelling alternative. Is the GX550 the rebadged ROW Landcruiser? I'm honestly not sure. A GMC? You're on your own :) That thing is HUGE. Beauty of the LR3/4 is that it is, quite literally, only 1 inch wider than a Wrangler...

I think it's time to move on...

The only viable replacements are a Gwagon, Landcruiser, 4Runner, Bronco or Wrangler. That's it as far as I know for a body on frame SUV with a fully locking transfer case. 2 of those are just as expensive (if not more) than a LR. 2 have much less interior volume than a LR4 and one is a Jeep...

    Open to Suggestions

Only things that compare capability wise are the Gwagon, Landcruiser, 4Runner, Wrangler and Grenadier. 2 of those aren't cheap either, 2 aren't as nice of a vehicle and 1 is still an unproven commodity. Only one offers more offroad prowess than what you have. None of them can be had for the...

    Fuel tank capacity- Sucks

The LRA tank also has a threaded drain plug if you need to empty some gasoline for other uses. A small siphon pump is probably better to avoid any spillage, but the plug is there.

    Fuel tank capacity- Sucks

Yep. Single best modification I have made to mine. I can attest that the tank will take a lickin' and roll on. Mine has a couple of deep dents and several gouges from crawling over rocks. I would be interested to see how they modded the fill system. Mine took a bit of fab and welding to get...

What jack do you recommend to store in your trunk?

Bottle jack for changing a single tire. Hi-Lift so I can get two wheels offs the ground if needed, but I have the T4x4 sliders that have a nice convenient rail to use a jacking point that spans the entire length between the wheel wells.

2013 LR4 with overheated engine...what would you pay

Rear locker? I would probably go $5k for one with a locker. Less for one without. It is also going to need some other work. Might not know what it is, but unless it was an enthusiast vehicle, it's going to need something.

    GAP IID Tool help urgent

Ditto on question above. Do you have lift rods installed? If so, this will throw it out of calibration on bump stops and it will not raise. Either put normal rods back in, or break out the jacks.

    Adaptive Headlight ECU Module

It's been a couple of years, but IIRC, I couldn't find a place to plug the module in. I still have the module floating around my miscellaneous parts box. I was busy as hell at the time, and put it aside and never got back around to messing with it.

    DIY Cargo/Sleeping platform

I did similar years ago. I built mine to nest, where the section for the second row slides over the cargo area portion so when you need it, you just slide it forward and screw the legs into position. I would also tell you that if you never use the third row that their is a ton of storage...

Tactical 4x4 Bumper vs Honda Accord. And the Winner is???

That is the common thought, but I rear-ended a someone in an accident in Houston and the other party got the ticket. I had to raise hell and get the cop to call an actual accident investigator to the scene, but I got it done. The idiot came to a dead stop on a four lane road and then tried to...

Is an LR4 Body Lift Possible?

Thanks for the clarification. So I kind of read that as it should be simpler for these trucks. No sub-frame to contend with. Somebody needs to buy some hockey pucks and have a few beers...
