Lr4 official off road photo and video thread

I requested this thread to be made a sticky.... but I guess it never happened. Oh well. Here are a few more shots I just came across. Happy wheelin' everyone! Busy week ahead but hoping to get out for a trail ride in about a week or two.

Sounds good. Please go with the 275/65 and be the guinea pig! Haha. Can't say for certain what you'll need, but almost definitely Johnson Rods or some sort of suspension mod (and probably some wheel well trimming). Let me know what kind of spacers you go with.. just curious.

I do too... just saw a really nice grey one with gloss black wheels and roof rails. Very sharp looking. Also I'll be in MA in a week and a half... will shoot you a text.

New Goodyear A/T 19" tire available, in North America!

That's a 33" tire, so you will definitely need to do some modifying... It would look great though. Would you use 20" factory wheels? Keep us posted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Anyone done Exhaust upgrades?

Surfrider- Good review. I'm sure it will be helpful to many. Could you do a video?

Toyo Open Country AT II Tires

That would be pretty cool if you had some way of doing that... not sure how feasible it would be. I'd love to put the fitment questions to rest (275, 285, etc). Of course wheel offset comes into play as well. My Fuels have a lower offset than the Compos which make them stick out a bit further...

Toyo Open Country AT II Tires

I agree... it's very tempting. So who's going to be the guinea pig? I was the muffler-delete guinea pig, now it's someone else's turn haha

Toyo Open Country AT II Tires

I definitely wish 285/65's were an easy fit!! ... although I'm still tempted to give it a shot when I need tires. The Nitto Trail Grapplers are an awesome MT and aren't too loud on the road. I believe there's also a 275/65/18 Toyo Open Country MT which would be less of a stretch.

    Fitting Oversized Spare Tire Underneath

I aired down to 10PSI and it was just way too tight... Maybe I will try again when I have time.

    Fitting Oversized Spare Tire Underneath

Surfrider- If you were on the ground using your feet to jam it up there (yes, I did it too), you should definitely make sure you can raise and lower it before you get into a situation where you actually need it. After I got my 265/65 wedged up there, I decided to test the lowering of it in my...

LR4 Towing report... and my new toy

Can't go wrong with Garmin. I actually just downloaded the Navionics app to my iPhone and it's AWESOME. The boat was just shipped here to FL from MA for the winter, so I've been taking my time learning the area. I always have the paper charts in front of me, the integrated Northstar GPS, as well...

LR4 Towing report... and my new toy

Here she is... Yes, a slightly larger version of your 240. LOA is 28'6". Would probably go for a 28-30' Magic Tilt (or similar) triple axle trailer. I would have to get the towing accessories (wiring, receiver, etc). for my rig as well. Did you have to do that, or did yours come with everything...

LR4 Towing report... and my new toy

Mbw- How was your rear visibility in the side mirrors? Maybe not so much a problem for seeing past the 240? We have an '09 270 SLX with a 9' beam... May or may not pick up a trailer for it in the near future. She's a beast, and it would weigh in at around 7,000-7,500lbs (boat, trailer, fuel...

Maybe you'll have some luck re-selling the quad tips on eBay or something.

    Anyone done Exhaust upgrades?

Wow- Congrats. It's pricey but I'm sure you'll be happy with it. You might be the first one ever to install it. Also, good call on keeping the factory tips... I'd knock those quad tips off in a second.

    LED Off Road Light Bars

The wiring is easy. Directly from the light to the battery, and then of course to your switch (or however you decide to operate the light). I think you should be able to hide the wires inside the A-Pillar. When I had my windshield replaced, I'm pretty sure the glass technician just popped them...

Official Off Road Photo and Video Thread! Share your off road photos and videos here! I love seeing everyone's shiny new LR4, but I'd much rather see your LR4 climbing some hills or slinging some mud. I'll start with a few of my own. Sorry if you've seen them before, but it'll be fun to...

    Off Roading Today

RBA- The new GoPro is such an improvement over the previous models. I'm hoping to pick one up pretty soon myself. Make sure you get the Suction Cup Mount, as you can mount it virtually anywhere with that. I had the previous generation GoPro with the Suction Cup Mount, and mounted it on...
