Thinking about going in to the mud, for the first time!

Don't know if you have tried to go to browns camp or not yet. Browns Camp is currently closed due to Extreme Fire Danger. Browns camp is off of HWY 6 in the Tillamook Forest. A search of the web should tell you current status of the Forest. At this point I would guess that it will be closed...

Popped a front air bag/strut on a class 4 trail this weekend.

I didn't pay attention to your signature. The rod mod on its own has little effect on the suspension problem you are having. However the Toddco Spacer lift is a big problem and certainly accelerated the failure happening. If you are going to run the spacers you must design some sort of...

Popped a front air bag/strut on a class 4 trail this weekend.

BTW - Rod modification seems to make no difference. The first one for me happened with and I removed the rod mod for the 2nd one.

Popped a front air bag/strut on a class 4 trail this weekend.

Welcome to the club. Did the same to my first one over 2 years ago. Same strut same side. Couple of things you can do, refresh the bushings on the front and install a NEW front strut not a used one. The consensus by myself and others with the same problem is that as the strut wears the shock...

    EPB Part #

When mine failed it was a silent failure. I forget the exact code and description that came up on the faultmate but something to the effect of drive motor b winding failure? It just didn't release the shoe on one side and I had to pull the emergency release which didn't work btw. I know I...

2006 LR3 HSE 45K MILES service at dealership

The service schedule is based on mileage and time. You should be well past the 45k service infact at this point not knowing when your lr3 was first put into service I would expect you to be doing the 72month/90k service! My LR3 is an 05 with mileage in the 70k range. I have completed all...

    Engine Cleaning

I pressure wash mine a couple times a year. Never had any problems. I do not spray directly at the ecu enclosure or any of the electrical harnesses. Keeps the engine bay nice and clean (keeps the mechanic happy to work on it too, specially since I do my own work!!)

    Parking Break

I second the adjustment. Really easy to do and like others have said should be done regularly. I suggest annually and haven't had a problem with mine since following that schedule. Actually I did have a failure with in the actuator itself the just failed no noise no warning no nothing just...

    Cowl Trim replacement/trouble shooting

Read in the owners manual there is a calibration procedure that you can follow. I believe it is in the owners manual. Quick and short I believe you hold the window switch to roll it all the way down and hold the switch again all the way up. If that doesn't do it I would say you there is a...

    Suspension raising slowly message

Raising Slowly happens when the storage tank is depleted and the compressor is refilling and raising at the same time. I have seen this when going from access to off road at the same time and the storage tank gets depleted prior to the front raising completely. There is a separate overheated...

Shock and upper control arm contact

I took the old assembly apart (infact I still have it). As I recall the the air bladder bolted to the top of the shock piston and had a plate that it hooked to on the shock body. That being said I'm just not sure how the bladder portion of the assembly could cause the problem. The thing I...

    Terrain Response Assembly Unit Install

I haven't had to change mine but I have had the whole assembly out. I find it easiest to remove the shift knob first (although you don't have to) Just pull straight up on it and it should pop off. Then the whole terrain response surround should just unclip and pop off.

    Projector headlights

Don't get me wrong i think the lighting is great. I just remember the BMW seemed to be brighter and again i just assumed it had to do with the elevation off the road surface.

    Projector headlights

I can honestly say that the hids in the LR3 vs my prior BMW do not seem as bright. I attributed this to elevation off the road surface more then anything.. I also thought the LR3 lights were not bi-zenon and were zenon main with h7 high beams...

FS: LR3 Wheels & Off road accessories

I ordered it through ARB USA direct. They brought it in from AUS and it is called "The Long Ranger" My rig was the "guinea pig" so I got a decent deal on it. I think they mentioned it would likely be about 2k retail but I don't remember for sure. It is/was pretty much a bolt in, the...
