Sooo, looks like the front block is good. Took it back in and the mechanic hooked his Snap On scanner. The pump shut off again, not building enough pressure. He then tried to force it to stay on using some OBDii command with the hazard lights going, apparently that's an override in the computer... -

Tire chains and 265/65 r18 tires
Necro thread. Even at the official Land Rover Experience they were using chains only on the REARS, none on the fronts. Anyone who had chains on, including the official Rover instructors, had them on the rear. And here at 1:57 Here at 1:45 Here at 2:47 and 3:10 This flies in the face... -

Snow Chains
We have an LR3 and carry chains for the rear. The front has issues with clearance due to the +1 size tire we did. As for the dealers always saying "Front tires only or all four only", there is Youtube footage of an LR4/Range Rover at a ROVER EXPERIENCE outing with only rear chains. I'll say it... -

https://roverswap.com/ is a dead link. And just swapping a motor so a car will run is no biggie. Getting ALL the features/wiring/electronics to mate is the tough part. Does the LS piggyback computers, I can't imagine a harness swap going smoothly regardless. Tuning on EFILive I imagine. -

I'm not sure I've seen a complete swap kit like this, either. Links? I bolted in a Terminator Cobra motor into my Marauder, so I know a bit about swaps, but it used all factory parts, some only modified very gently. Does that apply with the LS swap? -

Steering wheel shaking after rotor/pads replacement
My 3 got new Brembo rotors and the wobble was still there. The lower control arm bushings were replaced, and still at high speed, the brakes pulsate unless you really hit them hard, like 75 or 80 percent. The calipers seem to move freely when on the bench...how can caliper pins make the caliper... -

That was my exact point in the other thread about the LR3/LR4 possible replacement, and I got dumped on by LR4 fanboys. It's not a slag if it's true. The mechanics at the LRJ dealership here always tells us they wants to buy ours if we ever sell it, told us " its the best version that everybody... -

I use a work truck year round, and my wife uses her 3 year round. During the spring and summer, I put the Marauder on the road. My family loves to use my car for the good weather, and we use her 3 for the rest of the year. -

Yup, not a chance of this being built. And the idea of 4 doors is a stretch, but you can throw out any ideas of a 7 passenger. I swear I'm going to have to keep my LR3 running forever, or at least until I find a decent replacement. I haven't see anything that fits the mold since 2008 when I... -

Green/Orange/Factory LCA Bushings from Atlantic British?
For anyone doing the poly bushings, a certain install method is almost guaranteed to stop squeaks from every happening. Liberally apply Never-Seize to the entire bushing, and the LCA before you pop it back in. Like, paint the whole damn thing inside and out with it. One of the hardcore shops... -

Clear rear fog light lens for LR3
Have you looked at what can be done with a simple reverse light upgrade? LEDs are very powerful compared to the wimpy incandesants in there. -

I chose to use the orange poly bushings that are same as stock. If you can feel a difference between those and the stock rubber, you're the same kind of person who can "definitely feel" a 4 hp increase when you put in a CAI kit with a K&N air filter. Either that or you need to confirm your air... -
